Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a muffin tin (12) with silicone or paper cups.
Mix together the dry ingredients. Set aside.
Then, cream the butter and brown sugar. Add the egg and squash puree.
Add the dry ingredients and milk alternately.
Incorporate the chocolate chips. Mix well.
Cook the squash muffins in the oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
