  • Introduction

Bon Pour Toi Inc. (“BON POUR TOI”, “our”, “us”, “we”), a nutritional health company, takes your privacy and the protection of your personal information very seriously. Since your digital health is just as important as your physical health, we want you to be aware, by means of this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), of our data protection practices, of the types of personal information we may receive or collect from you and of how we use, disclose, store and secure it. By doing so, you will be able to make wise and informed choices.

This Policy applies to our websites, and (collectively our “Sites”) and our mobile application Swiitch (the “Application”). However, we wish to draw your attention to the fact that the rights and obligations described in this Policy do not cover third party websites that may be linked to our Site(s) or mentioned on such Site(s). These third party websites have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to read them carefully.

  • Consent

Generally, we will obtain the Personal Information that we need directly from you with your consent, subject to exceptions as provided by law. For example, BON POUR TOI may need to proceed without your consent where, for reasons of fraud detection or prevention, seeking your consent would defeat the purpose.

Refusal of collection and withdrawl of your consent

You have the right, if you so choose, to refuse the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information. You may also, at any time, and subject to reasonable notice and applicable legal or contractual restrictions, withdraw your consent to the use of your Personal Information in our possession by contacting our Privacy Officer. You should be aware, however, that if you choose not to provide us with your Personal Information, this may prevent you, for example, from receiving your meal plan or any other product or service from us, as this information is essential to the provision of the requested service.

We would also like to inform you that anonymized information, which does not allow us to know who you are, will be kept.

    Use for secondary purposes

Depending on the circumstances, BON POUR TOI may also ask for your consent to use your Personal Information for secondary purposes, such as market research or database purposes. Your consent for secondary use may be withdrawn at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer, without affecting the provision of our services to you.

  • Details on the collection, use and disclosure of data on our sites through automated processes such as cookies and other similar tools

The following section is intended to give you more information about how we use these tools and how we profile, if any.

    Cookies and Web beacons

BON POUR TOI uses cookies, which are small data files that are commonly stored on your device when you use websites and online services. We collect the data provided by cookies and use this information for the efficient operation of our Sites and to, among other things, assist us in customizing services.

BON POUR TOI also uses web beacons, which are tiny images that we may place on our web pages or emails. They can be used, for example, to obtain anonymously the number of times a particular page has been visited by a user or whether an email has been read. As the name implies, web beacons are invisible and any part of our Sites, including the advertisements displayed on them, may contain web beacons. Unlike cookies, web beacons are not placed on your computer.

BON POUR TOI uses different types of cookies (collectively referred to as cookies here):

    Necessary cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to enable the proper functioning of our Sites, our security measures and those of third parties. Without these cookies, the services you have requested cannot be provided.

Functionality cookies (also known as “preference cookies”)

These cookies are not essential to the provision of our services. They help personalize and enhance the user experience. For example, they store your communication and language preferences.

Performance cookies (also known as “statistical cookies” or “analytical cookies”)

These cookies are not essential to the provision of our services. We use performance cookies to understand how you interact with our Sites. Our partners may also use this type of cookie to analyze your use of our Sites and provide us with information about it. These cookies are for statistical purposes only. For more information on our use of cookies, see the “Use of Google Analytics” section.

    Cookies for advertising purposes

These cookies are not essential to the provision of our services. We use targeting and advertising cookies to present you with relevant content, including on social networks. Also, our partners may use these cookies to determine whether our advertisements were displayed to you and whether you interacted with them. In such cases, our partners share data with us, including statistics about the performance of our ads. For more information on our use of cookies, see the “Use of Google Analytics” section.

Deactivation of cookies to which you have consented

With the exception of strictly necessary cookies, even if you have consented to their use, you may withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by changing the settings on your browser or mobile device.

However, if you choose to decline cookies, some pages or sections of our Sites may not display properly or some features may not be available.

    Use of Google Analytics

BON POUR TOI uses Google Analytics, which is provided by Google Inc. (Google), in order to analyze the browsing behavior of visitors to its Sites, which is a tool for analyzing website traffic and usage.

The information collected by Google Analytics is used to analyze the use of our Sites and to generate statistical reports on visitor activity. You can get more information about Google Analytics here.

    Targeted Advertising

BON POUR TOI also works with third-party advertising companies, such as Facebook or Google Ads that collect and use information about your visits to our Sites in order to present you with advertising that may be of interest to you. BON POUR TOI does not share any information that allows advertising companies to identify you. Please be aware that our advertising partners and other third parties may also set cookies or web beacons when you click on their advertisements or links to their websites or services on our Sites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third party websites or third party advertising providers. You can disable Google Analytics while browsing by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser or computer tool, as well as the settings for ads. It is possible to opt-out of sharing your information with these third parties by installing an add-on and thus opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising. BON POUR TOI also uses Facebook’s Custom Audience feature to target advertising based on the interests of current and potential customers. We encourage you to check your Facebook privacy settings if you wish to manage your advertising settings. You can get more information here. Please note that even if you choose not to receive ads targeted to your interests, it is still possible to see ads from BON POUR TOI. In this case, they will simply not be adapted to your real needs and may be displayed more frequently.

    Social Media Features

Our Sites include social media features such as the Youtube, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest share button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Sites. If you use these features, they collect your IP address, the page you visit on our Sites, and create a cookie to enable these features to function properly. These features may be hosted by a third party or directly on our Sites. Your interaction with these features is governed by the privacy policy of the company that provides the feature and not by this policy.

Please note that these service providers may be located in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions or countries. They will only have access to Personal Information that is necessary to perform these functions on our behalf and are required not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Please be aware that we strive to have contractual agreements in place with these agents and suppliers to ensure the security of your data.
