Ingredients: Fried chicken; Chicken breast, boneless and skinless, 1 unit (275 g); Canola oil, ½ tablespoon (7.5 mL); Chili powder, 1 tablespoon (15 mL); Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 mL); Onion powder, 1 teaspoon (5 mL); Salt and pepper, To taste ( To taste); Egg white, 1 unit (30 mL); Cornstarch, ⅓ cup (50 g); Oil (for frying), ( ); Sweet potato waffles; Sweet potatoes, grated, 8 (1 kg); Eggs, 4 (200 g); Cayenne pepper, 1 pinch (1 g); Salt, 1 teaspoon (5 mL); Hot sauce; Plain Greek yogurt, ½ cup (125 mL); Hot sauce of choice, 2 teaspoons (10 mL); Lime juice, 1 tablespoon (15 mL)

Preparation

Cut the chicken breast into small pieces. Transfer into a bowl and add the canola oil, seasoning, and egg white. Gradually incorporate the cornstarch as you mix the ingredients together.

In a saucepan, heat the oil and fry the chicken pieces for about 6 minutes or until they are golden. Keep warm.

Preheat and oil the waffle maker. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix together all the waffle ingredients. For the best result possible, blend the preparation using a food processor a few seconds.

Using an ice cream scoop, make balls (the waffle preparation should bind easily. If needed, add an egg). Then, cook them 5 to 7 minutes or until the waffles are crispy.

In a small bowl, mix together all the hot sauce ingredients. Place each element as well as the filling options suggested in the introduction in the center of the table. Enjoy!
