Butter or olive oil

Tomato soup
Tomato juice
Diced tomatoes

In a large pot, melt the butter (you can also use olive oil).
Add the onions and garlic. Brown them slightly.
Add the extra-lean ground beef, turkey, and lentils. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently and making sure to break up the meat.
Incorporate the remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat and let simmer uncovered for 2 hours and 30 minutes or more. Stir frequently.
