Butter
Milk
Instant yeast
Brown sugar
Salt
All-purpose flour
Butter, melted
Ground cinnamon
Ground ginger
Light cream cheese
Icing sugar
Vanilla extract
Ripe avocado
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the butter with the milk for 1 minute. Then, add the yeast and brown sugar (5ml / 1 teaspoon). Mix well. Let activate for 10 minutes. Transfer into a large bowl.
In the same bowl, gradually add the salt and flour. The mixture should become thick and sticky.
Transfer the dough unto a floured surface. Roll out the dough for at least 5 minutes. Set aside.
Clean and slightly oil the large bowl. Put the dough in it. Cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap. Let the dough rise for at least 1 hour in a warm and humid place.
Then, place the dough unto a floured surface. Roll it out in a rectangle shape using a rolling pin.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
Baste the dough with melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and ginger on top. Firmly roll the dough. Cut the roll into 9 pieces (about 3 to 5 cm wide each). Place them on the baking sheet.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden.
Meanwhile, prepare the avocado frosting using a hand mixer.
Once the cinnamon rolls are cooked, let cool a few minutes at room temperature. Then, add a spoonful of the avocado frosting on top of each roll. Serve immediately.
