Bunch of asparagus
Olive oil
Onion powder
Salt and pepper
Homemade or shop-bought puff pastry
Egg, lightly beaten
Parmesan cheese, grated
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
Snap off the tough bottom part of the asparagus stems (about 3 cm / 1″).
In a shallow dish, gently toss the asparagus with the olive oil, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Then, cut the dough in long strips of about 2 cm x 20 cm (0.5″ x 7″). Roll one strip around each asparagus.
Baste the asparagus spirals with the beaten egg and garnish with parmesan cheese.
Finally, cook in the oven for 10 minutes or until the dough is golden.
