It’s the perfectly balanced sweet and salty recipe for dessert lovers. Plus, you can even drizzle your homemade caramel on ice cream (everyone loves ice cream!), yogurt, or fruits. Better than candies!
In frothed milk or lattes, a teaspoon of caramel is a unique and tasty twist to the usual white sugar, brown sugar, or maple syrup alternatives! Besides, a caramel mason jar is a great gift idea for your loved ones! Plus, it can be kept at room temperature and only takes 5 minutes to prepare.
Granulated sugar or brown sugar
35% M.F. cooking cream
Fleur de sel
Unsalted butter, diced
In a small pot, bring the water and sugar to a boil. Cook without stirring until the preparation is golden, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and incorporate the cream, vanilla, and fleur de sel.
Add the butter and mix until it is entirely melted. Let cool completely.
Not a fan of the salted touch brought by fleur de sel? Simply leave it out and cook your caramel according to your taste! Then, add some anywhere: on fruits, yogurt, toasts… You’ll see, it is simply delicious!
