Salmon strawberry tartare is a flavor-packed and refreshing dish! The combination of fresh, delicious salmon, sweet strawberries, and tangy green apples is perfectly balanced. It’s an explosion of flavors with every bite, making you crave it over and over again!
For this recipe, you can also incorporate lime juice, sesame oil, sesame seeds, small cubes of smoked salmon, fresh ginger, Dijon mustard, green onions, fresh parsley, red onion, and many other ingredients. Use your favorite ingredients to create the ultimate recipe!
Fresh salmon, cut into small cubes
Green Granny Smith apple, diced
Chives, finely chopped
Fresh basil, chopped
Salt and pepper
Avocados, thinly sliced
Firstly, gently mix all the tartare ingredients in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients.
Incorporate the sauce into the tartare mixture and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavors.
Next, use a pastry ring or ramekin to shape the tartare.
Finally, top each tartare with an avocado flower (see notes), fried garlic, and serve immediately with toasted bread croutons.
To create an avocado flower, start by cutting the avocado in half lengthwise and removing the pit. Then, gently peel off the skin piece by piece using your fingers. Next, place the avocado halves cut-side down on a cutting board and make thin vertical slices through the avocado.
Once the slices are made, spread them out as much as possible by sliding them and finish by rolling them up. Finally, use a spatula to place the avocado flower on top of the salmon tartare and serve immediately. To prevent the avocado from browning, you can brush a little lemon juice onto your avocado flower.
