Why not start your day with a fresh and protein-rich breakfast? This banana and chocolate smoothie is perfect to eat in the morning. As you know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And as its name suggests, it breaks the overnight fasting period (break-fast!). In this banana and chocolate smoothie bowl recipe, there is banana (fruits and vegetables), Greek yogurt, Grenoble walnuts, peanut butter (protein foods), as well as cocoa for a chocolate twist! It’s quite a varied beverage! Delight yourself with this tasty smoothie!
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Half banana, sliced
Grenoble walnuts, crushed
In a blender, mix all the smoothie ingredients until smooth.
Add almond milk to get the right texture if needed.
Garnish with banana slices, chia seeds, and Grenoble walnuts. Serve immediately.
If you’re not a fan of Greek yogurt, you could always replace it with fresh cheese such as quark in your smoothie bowl. This cheese is fat and salt free while also being rich in protein. A great ingredient to have in your fridge!
