Here is a classic mojito of Cuban origin with a Quebec touch! Mojitos are so refreshing thanks to their mint leaves and lime juice. They’re therefore the perfect summer drinks! This pimped version features a beloved Quebec fruit: blueberries!
We also added some parsley for a unique twist! Surprisingly, this mojito doesn’t actually have blueberries. In fact, we used this blueberry syrup from Monsieur Cocktail. However, you could always puree some blueberries to garnish your rum-based drink!
Don’t have blueberry sryup at home? Use simple syrup instead! Or make a blueberry puree, as suggested above, for a fruity taste. Besides, you can also substitute the dark rum with white rum and the lime juice with lemon juice.
Dark rum or bourbon
Monsieur Cocktail blueberry syrup
Fresh lime juice
Muddle the mint and parsley leaves with your hands. Place them at the bottom of a tall glass.
Add the remaining ingredients, except the sparkling water. Fill the glass with ice.
Mix with a stirrer or spoon until the glass becomes cold.
Add the sparkling water.
Garnish with mint and parsley leaves and blueberries, if desired. Serve immediately.
Prefer raspberries to blueberries? No problem! Use Monsieur Cocktail’s raspberry syrup instead. Besides, this mojito recipe is good with any kind of berries! Be creative!
